Pixel Checker: which pixels does your store run?
Enter a store address. We load the homepage and a product page like a visitor would and show which ad pixels we find, with their IDs.
Why browser pixels miss 20–40% of sales
Server-side tracking sends each paid order from your store's server as well, matched to the ad click. The ad platform then sees the sales the browser pixel missed.
Ad blockers
Block the pixel script before it loads.
iOS and Safari
Limit cookies and strip click IDs, so a sale can't be linked to the ad.
Cookie banners
Visitors who decline never let the pixel fire.
In-app browsers
Instagram and TikTok open your store in their own browser; the click often gets lost before checkout.
Get the missing sales back
Settl's 99,9% Tracking sends every paid order to Meta, TikTok, Google, Snapchat and Pinterest from the server. No code, set up in minutes.
About pixels and the Pixel Checker
What does the Pixel Checker look at?+
It loads your homepage and one product page like a normal visitor and reads the code: the page itself, your Google Tag Manager containers and, on Shopify, the app pixels in Customer Events. It lists Meta, TikTok, Google, Snapchat, Pinterest, X, Microsoft and Reddit pixels with the IDs it can read.
My pixel is installed but the checker doesn't find it. Why?+
Some pixels only load after cookie consent, on the checkout page, or from scripts that run later. Pixels set up through GTM variables or a Shopify custom pixel also hide their ID. Use the platform's own helper (Meta Pixel Helper, TikTok Pixel Helper, Google Tag Assistant) to double-check.
Is it a problem when a pixel is loaded twice?+
Yes. If the same pixel ID loads from your theme and from an app or GTM, every event can be sent twice. Your ads manager then reports more purchases than you had, and the algorithm optimises on wrong data.
Can you see server-side tracking?+
No. Server-side events go from a server straight to the ad platform, which no outside tool can see. We only show known tools that leave a trace in the browser code, such as Settl, Elevar or a server-side GTM loader.
Do I need a cookie banner for ad pixels?+
In the EU and UK, yes: ad pixels may only fire after the visitor agrees. Without consent tooling you risk fines, and with strict banners you lose data. That's another reason to also send purchases server-side.
Is the Pixel Checker free?+
Yes, free and without an account. It works for any store, not just Settl users.
