Can I combine payment providers?+
Yes, and that's often the smart move. No provider offers every method — Whop's checkout has no iDEAL, for example, while Stripe does. Connect both and buyers see all methods together: cards and Apple Pay through Whop, iDEAL and Bancontact through Stripe. Each payment goes to the provider it was made with.
Do you hold my money?+
No. Buyers pay through your own payment provider with your own keys, and payouts go from there to your bank. We only pass the order on to Shopify.
Which payment providers can I connect?+
Whop, Stripe, Mollie, PayPal, Revolut, Airwallex, Viva.com, Checkout.com, SumUp, Tikkie and Oceanpayment — plus your own methods like bank transfer, pick-up or pay on delivery. Missing one? Request it from your dashboard.
Which payment methods do buyers see?+
The ones your providers offer and you switched on. We show the ones that fit where the buyer is: iDEAL in the Netherlands, Bancontact in Belgium, Klarna in Germany, cards and wallets everywhere.
Do orders still arrive in Shopify?+
Yes. Every paid checkout becomes a normal Shopify order with customer, address, items and shipping, seconds after payment. Your fulfilment apps, emails and stock keep working.
Can buyers change prices in the cart?+
No. Every cart is priced again from Shopify on our server before the buyer pays, so what they pay is always your real price.
Does it work alongside Shopify?+
Yes. Settl sits next to your Shopify store: products, stock and orders stay in Shopify, and every paid checkout comes back as a normal Shopify order. You're never locked in — switch it off and your store is back on Shopify's checkout right away.
