Settl vs Checkout Plus
Checkout Plus customizes Shopify's own checkout, thank-you and order-status pages: free gifts, trust badges, reviews, surveys, payment and shipping rules and upsells. On most plans it can only change the pages after payment; its Plus and Advanced plans are limited to Shopify Plus stores. Settl is a different approach and a Checkout Plus alternative: buyers pay on your own branded checkout, which you can style fully on any Shopify plan, through your own provider.

Can I customize the Shopify checkout without Plus?+
Inside Shopify, mostly the thank-you and order-status pages; that's what Checkout Plus Basic works on. With Settl, buyers pay on your own branded checkout, so you can change the whole page on any plan.
How much does Checkout Plus cost compared to Settl?+
When we checked in October 2026, Checkout Plus Basic was $19 a month, with its Plus ($49) and Advanced ($99) plans limited to Shopify Plus stores. Settl is €29,99 a month for the checkout, or €49,99 with tracking.
Does Settl keep Shopify's checkout?+
No, that's the main difference. Settl replaces the checkout with your own. Orders still become normal Shopify orders, and if you cancel, your store falls back to Shopify's checkout.
