Questions
Can I test payment methods with Settl?+
Partly. Variant B can change which payment icons are shown and how the payment methods are laid out (classic, list, tiles, cards or minimal). It can't send variant B to a different payment provider; both variants use the same providers. For testing gateways against each other inside Shopify's checkout, AB Check is built for that.
What does AB Check cost compared to Settl?+
AB Check's listing showed one Premium plan at $19.95 a month or $191.50 a year when we checked in November 2026. Settl is €29,99 a month for the checkout with A/B testing included, or €49,99 with server-side tracking.
Can I use AB Check and Settl together?+
AB Check runs on Shopify's own checkout. Buyers who go through the Settl checkout don't pass through Shopify's checkout, so in practice you'd use one or the other for the same orders.
How long should a checkout A/B test run?+
At least a full week. Settl waits for 100 checkouts per variant and 10 orders in total before it judges, then checks for a winner at 95% confidence.
