Settl is a checkout, not a subscription platform: it replaces Shopify's checkout with your own branded one and has subscribe & save built in, on your own Stripe or Mollie account. Questions
Is Settl a good Recharge alternative?+
For simple subscribe & save on Stripe or Mollie, yes: renewals become Shopify orders, failed payments get retried, and buyers manage their subscription themselves, with 0% per order. If you rely on Recharge's advanced retention tools or Shopify Payments, Recharge is the better fit.
How much does Recharge cost compared to Settl?+
When we checked in October 2026, Recharge had a $25 entry plan with no transaction fees for the first 50 subscribers, then Starter at $99 a month plus 1.49% + 19¢ per transaction. Settl is €29,99 a month for the checkout with subscriptions, or €49,99 with tracking, and nothing per order.
Which payment providers does Settl use for subscriptions?+
Stripe and Mollie. One-off orders can also run through Whop, PayPal, Revolut, Airwallex and the other providers Settl supports.
