Google's Google & YouTube app for Shopify, and Google for WooCommerce, are free. They sync your products to Merchant Center, run Performance Max, and add Google Ads conversion tracking with enhanced conversions. That tracking is tag-based, in the browser. This isn't like-for-like: Settl doesn't do Merchant Center or feeds. It sends your paid orders server-side to Google Ads and GA4, and to seven other platforms. Most stores use both.

- Google is your only channel and its conversions already match your orders.
- You don't want to pay for tracking.
- You need Merchant Center sync and Performance Max (keep it for these either way).

- Ad blockers and consent banners cost you Google conversions and you want them sent server-side.

Questions
Should I remove the Google & YouTube app if I use Settl?+
No, keep it for Merchant Center and your product feed. Just keep one purchase conversion set as Primary in Google Ads, so each sale counts once.
Isn't enhanced conversions the same as server-side?+
No. Enhanced conversions add hashed customer data to the browser tag. If the tag is blocked, nothing is sent. Settl sends from a server, with the saved gclid.
Is the Google & YouTube app free?+
Yes. You only pay Google for your ads.
